Zach has been working hard on all of his assigned soccer homework during this break from in-person practices. His coach has seen great improvements through the videos being submitted, which shows he is taking the homework serious and pushing himself to improve. Zach is such a hard worker on the field. It doesn't matter if it is at practice or a game, he is always giving 100% with a smile on his face. You can tell Zach really enjoys playing the game, and he is a joy to coach.

keira, 10g bailey

Keira has been amazing during these difficult times, and she has improved so much with her soccer skills over the past month. She has really put the work in at home! Keira also took over the team warm up last week on our zoom session and did an excellent job. She even gave coaching points to the players on how to do each stretch. Listening is an important leadership skill, and Kiera has stepped up to be a bigger leader on this team.

Ajitesh was the recent winner of our team’s juggling challenge with consecutive juggles of over 350 touches. He incorporated both feet, both thighs, and headers, with at least 5 touches from each of those body parts. His coach's advice and incentive to the players regarding this skill was ”you don’t have to be a strong juggler to be good at soccer, but all the great players were also great at juggling.” Way to show great determination and grit Ajitesh!

Aaron was a dominating player for the team during the last few games before quarantine. He excelled in the center-mid, as well as at forward. Aaron works really hard on the field in games and practice, and this has carried over to his fitness and skills homework during quarantine. He has done a great job pushing himself to get better. Aaron is encouraging to his teammates,, and he is very good at getting his teammates to push themselves in the games by the determination and attitude that he exhibits.

raaghav, 10b bailey

Raaghav has been working really hard on all his assigned homework and has shown some great improvement. Raaghav has really impressed his coach with his questions and desire to learn more and improve himself. Before the break in games, Raaghav was playing some outstanding defense, standing his ground, waiting for the right moment to steal the ball. Not only did he steal the ball well, he would also dribble into the space before releasing the ball, which helped the team greatly in keeping possession of the ball to create goal scoring opportunities.
