PLAYERs of the month - march 2021
isabella, 08G williams
Isabella has shown exceptional quality on the field. She was challenged these past few weeks with a new position and role in the team, transitioning to a defensive position having mostly played offensive positions. Isa not only took on the new challenge, putting her team ahead of herself, but has excelled. She has been a solid defensive performer, showing excellent positioning without the ball, defending some of the opponent’s best players, and providing an offensive threat. She always embraces new challenges, bringing positivity and energy which is infectious to the whole team.
emmanuel, 08B shabout
Emmanuel reads the game well and anticipates the play very well. He has scored a goal in just about every game and had a hat trick in one of the games. He is at every practice and every game and is extremely focused and works very hard when he is on the field. Emmanuel is technically sound and very capable with the ball. He also is very friendly and enjoys his teammates and is always willing to help and support the players and the team.
kate, 11g morales
Kate would play in every minute of every game if you let her, as she has an amazing passion for the game. She gives 110% in practices and games and is always enthusiastic and encouraging to her teammates. She excels when the ball is at her feet, and her ball mastery and shooting technique with both her feet is excellent. She plays with great physicality and has great tactical awareness on when to play the ball and where to play the ball. She is a quiet leader on the team who leads by her example which pushes her teammates to work harder each week.
oliver, 12b oland
Oliver has tremendous vision on the field to find his teammates and also make the right play. He knows when to switch the ball when the field gets bunched up. He understands gaps and passing lanes to play his teammates into space. He is always calm and patient on the ball and has several assists and goals this season. Oliver is always encouraging his teammates in practices and games. He is a great kid, who never cuts corners, and always does the right thing. He is a great leader on our team.
