PLAYERs of the month - february 2025
RYAN SNELLING | 10b sansom red
Ryan’s recent performances at the Copa San Antonio earned high praise from opposing coaches, opposing spectators, and referees. Ryan has proven himself to be one of the top defenders in our league with his ability to pull off goal saving tackles, delay the opposition attack in 1v1 situations and find a pass to a player 40 yards away. Ryan is quickly maturing as a soccer player and carries himself super professionally on and off the field.
nathaniel jung | 14b shabout black
Nate is nominated for his great work as a center back for the team. He is the leader of the defensive line. He works hard and assists his teammates on and off the field. Nate is a very talented player that is very smart in the way he plays and how he organizes his defense and communicate with his midfielders. He is not only a good defender, but the team’s attack always starts with him, building with possession starting from him to the forwards.
NICHOLAS MILLER | 16B REECK RED
Nicholas has a tremendous work ethic and positive attitude in practice and games which has really helped with his development. Over the winter we began playing up an age group and he has really taken up the challenge exhibiting more speed, physicality, and transitioning to attack. Nicholas tended to be more defensive minded but his confidence has grown and his attacking mentality has made a big step forward which has allowed him to move to a central midfield position this spring.
emily ballesteros | 18g mobley red
Emily had an outstanding month and a massive contribution to 18G Red winning the President's Day Invitational. She scored multiple goals, including a spectacular double move to beat a pair of opponents on the endline followed by a great shot from an impossibly narrow angle. (Sadly, no video!) She continues to grow both as a player and a team leader.
