PLAYERs of the month - DEC. 2021
alfonso, 05b williams black
Alfonso played a key role in our recent success at the Florida Showcase tournament as our goalkeeper. He displayed an elite understanding of covering the penalty box from end line to the 18 yard boundary. Timely runs off his line were executed over and over to eliminate the opponents threatening advances. He had no goals in the run of play against him, only being scored on by way of the penalty spot. The 05B team’s undefeated weekend was in large part due to his incredibly high level of play.
landon, 11b stricker red
Landon has done a great job this season, working hard every practice and really stepping up on the field. Landon was the leading goal scorer on the 11B Stricker Red team and really was a true team player. He played multiple positions including forward, center mid, and right and center back. Whatever the team needs he does. He even guest played with the 11B Black team and olayed three different positions and excelled at all of them. He has a great attitude on and off the field and is a joy to coach.
zofia, 12g davies
Zofia had an excellent fall season & has had some fantastic performances. She works hard off the ball with her pressing in attacking areas of the field to regain possession and has contributed a lot of goals to the team. She utilizes her speed and 1v1 domination to set up goal scoring opportunities and is developing her finishing techniques. In our December tournament she scored a hat-trick. Zofia is a popular member of the team and always gives outstanding effort.
reyaansh, 14b lacy red
Reyaansh and his team played in a tournament in December with no subs. Not once did he complain and he gave it his all. He played all positions and did whatever it took to help his team secure a victory. He has grown tremendously moving the ball quickly and focusing to improve his first touch. Lastly, Reyaansh is a joy to coach as he always comes with a smile and is ready to learn.
