PLAYER SPOTLIGHT - for the week of april 22-april 28
Coppell FC’s Player Spotlight highlights players each week from the club’s academy (U7-U10) and select (U11 and older) teams. These are players that are recognized and nominated by their coaches for their outstanding performance, attitude, and/or character.
Adelyn, 11g evans
Addie regularly works on her game in her free time and has used the Covid-19 break to work even more on these skills. She often does her fitness workouts with her sister and even the whole family sometimes. After seeing recent clips of Ronaldinho that her coach shared as homework, she has taken some of his skills and implemented them to her own. Coach Rich is Looking forward to seeing Addie--dinho show these new skills on the field!
tomas, 11b stricker
Tomas has worked very hard on his juggling and ball mastery skills during the quarantine, but most of all, his mile time has improved significantly. He has trimmed 20 percent off his mile time in 3 weeks. Tomas has embraced getting better during this time of not being able to train in person as a team, and his attitude is excellent. Tomas always gives great effort and takes pride in his work ethic and training. He is a great teammate and is very coachable!

Sofia has been working extremely hard in this Covid--19 enforced mid-season break, regularly exceeding her team’s running club miles and working on her ball mastery skills every single day. Sofia has adapted an even more positive attitude than the one she had due to the current circumstances and used it as a chance to keep working, setting a great example for her team and club-mates to follow.

Sid has been an outstanding participant in his assignments including juggling challenges, video analysis, skills, and fitness sessions. He completes them in record time and is so very thoughtful in his responses. This commitment during this time of separation isn’t surprising to his coach at all. He has always been totally engaged in the team activities and a key reason for their successes in the league matches this fall and spring. He can always be counted on to give his very best effort for his team. It is a privilege to coach such a great young man.
amber, 09g bailey
Amber's hard work and dedication to this sport has been outstanding. She practices everyday, and the hard work is definitely showing as she is an incredible soccer player. When coach sets a team challenge, Amber is not stopping until she beats that challenge. Amber is a leader on the field and leads by example giving it her all in every game. She's so composed on the ball that she still wants the ball even if she has defenders marking her. She has great confidence in herself to beat the defender with her skills, which creates great goal scoring opportunities.
